Anna Sibley MA - piano, (Central Bristol studio)

MAgraduate of the K. Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland, specialising in piano solo performance and chamber ensembles. She has performed in Italy, USA and Germany and participated in masterclasses with A Jasinski, M. Papadopulos, B. Roberts, J. Stompel. Anna has taken part in many competitions, winning the first prize at the International Competition for 20th Century Music in Wroclaw, Poland. She has recorded for the Polish and Austrian radio and participated in the Oxford Philomusica Piano Festival in the Summer 2004. In 2010 Anna trained as a Suzuki Method teacher and she has quickly gained a reputation for her fantastic teaching in the South West and Bristol area. Her sense of fun and highly engaging teaching manner developed a large teaching group of students and this is the best testament to her ability to motivate and enthuse children of all ages. She has been invited to teach at workshops both nationally and internationally.

 Anna performed solo and in chamber ensembles in the UK, Italy, Germany and US. 

Anna is the founder and the Head Tutor at the Bristol Music School. She lives in Bristol with her husband Mat and son Alexander.

Mat Sibley - saxophone, Jazz improvisation

Mat has a first class honours degree in music specialising in jazz performance.

He has recorded and toured with artists including 'Scissor Sisters' (including 'Live at O2 Arena' dvd and cd), 3 albums with 'The Super Furry Animals', 'Gomez', 'Tony Christie', 'Joe Longthorne' and 'Peter Grant' and has appeared on 'Later with Jools Holland', 'ITV at the Festivals' and numerous tv/radio performances worldwide.

Theatre work includes national tours of 'The Songs from Sister Act', 'The Motown Show', 'Hold On' and 'Blues Brother, Soul Sister'.

As a jazz player he has played with various groups at festivals throughout Europe, along with premier UK venues 'Ronnie Scott's', '606 Club', 'Pizza Express Jazz Club' and 'Jazz Cafe'.

Claire Housego - piano (Downend Studio)

 

Claire is a dedicated and enthusiastic piano teacher who enjoys teaching both children and adults within solo and group lessons. She loves helping others to experience the enrichment and joy that playing music can bring and she supports and encourages the ambitions of each individual. Her aim is to develop the musician in every person and to make each lesson challenging, creative and inspiring.Claire's own love of performing encompasses a number of styles of genres. She has studied classical piano to diploma level and also holds a passion for jazz piano, most recently receiving lessons at the 'Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama'. During the last ten years she has enjoyed various performance opportunities, both as a soloist and within bands.Claire hold a degree in music from Cardiff University, a certificate in 'Being an Effective Teacher' from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music and is a member of the European Piano Teachers Association. In 2016 Claire has embarked on Suzuki Method Teacher Training.
